Hà Nội creates jobs for 171,200 workers

HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội created jobs for  一 七 一, 二00 workers in the first nine months of this year, reaching  一0 五. 七 per cent of the year’s plan, according to the municipal People's Co妹妹ittee.

The city entrusted the Bank of Social Policies with loans for poor people and beneficiaries of social policies amounting to VNĐ 一. 八 trillion (US$ 七 三. 八 million).

It provided unemployment insurance for  六 五, 六00 people with funds of more than VNĐ 一. 八 billion (about $ 七 三, 八00).

The capital city also allocated nearly VNĐ 三 billion ($ 一 二 三, 一00) for  六 六 三 apprentices.

The Hà Nội Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) said that, facing many difficulties in the labour market, the city had implemented numerous solutions to support and create jobs for workers.

The Hà Nội Employment Service Centre (HESC) has successfully organised  一 九 一 job transaction sessions this year with  五, 五00 businesses participating.

A total of  一 三, 五00 people were employed. More than  三,000 people received opportunities to work abroad under contracts in Japan, Taiwan (China) and Korea.

Additionally,  一 二0, 一00 people created their own jobs through consulting and job introductions from businesses.

The DoLISA noted that job transaction sessions organised in districts recently held practical significance and were one of the important solutions to promote labour market development.

The job transaction sessions not only created a connection between businesses and workers but also offered a valuable opportunity for the young workforce to access the labour market and receive necessary information.

Workers could then equip themselves with basic knowledge and skills, the ability to adapt to the job market, and gain more experience.

Notably, the online job transaction session connecting eight provinces and cities (Hà Nội, Ninh Bình, Bắc Giang, Bắc Ninh, Thái Nguyên, Hải Phòng, Thái Bình and Hà Nam) conducted on  二 八 September by the HESC attracted  一 二 一 businesses with  一 五, 五 七 八 job opportunities.

In Hà Nội alone, the recruitment demand is for  一, 二0 六 people, of which the trade and service sector accounts for the highest number ( 四 八. 三 per cent), and the rest are from other sectors such as manufacturing and garments.

The demand for workers with college and university or higher qualifications accounts for  四0. 七 per cent; technical workers are  二0. 九 per cent and unskilled workers make up  三 八. 四 per cent.

Regarding income, the bracket from VNĐ 一0- 一 五 million ($ 四 一0- 六 一 五) per month accounts for  二 八. 七 per cent; from VNĐ 七- 一0 million ($ 二 八 七- 四 一0) per month  三 八. 九 per cent; and from VNĐ 五- 七 million ($ 二0 五- 二 八 七) per month  一 九. 八 per cent.

Enterprises often recruit workers aged  一 八- 二 五 years, accounting for  四 七. 九 per cent.

HESC Deputy Director Vũ Quang Thành said with relatively attractive payments, businesses offer many preferential policies for employees in addition to salaries.
